Roger Holman
Since 2013, Roger Holman has served as the National Operations Manager overseeing Field Operations on all import treatments, performing audits of fumigation sites and serving as liaison with fumigators across the United States. Roger Holman earned a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in botany from Pembroke University in 1983. He began his career as a seasonal domestic officer for the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s (APHIS) Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) unit working on the Boll Weevil Eradication Program. In 1984, Roger became a full-time officer in Chadbourn, North Carolina, working on the Witchweed Eradication Program. Roger worked in many locations throughout the United States, traveling coast to coast, to support a variety of treatment programs. Some of the most notable programs he has worked on include Agricultural Quarantine and Inspection, the Mediterranean Fruit Fly Eradication Program, the Citrus Canker Eradication Program, the Boll Weevil Eradication Program, Biotech, and the Canine Program. Roger also has served in a variety of roles over his career. He has served in addressing regulatory concerns, quality assurance, treatments of agricultural products, inspections of ships, planes, and rail shipments; fumigation of warehouses; and inspections of military equipment following its return from overseas.
